Happy (belated) New Year! We're keeping incredibly busy at LPU, starting 2010 on January 26th with the new CLIPD BEAKS full-length TO REALIZE on CD and Double-LP. It's beautiful, expansive, mysterious--kind of like James Franco! It's one of our favorite records to date and to say we're super proud of our Oakland Beaks would be the understatement of the '00s.

That same day also sees the release of a SMALL BLACK / WASHED OUT split 7"! Unless you've been living under a rock/don't know what the internet is (that's ok too!!!), both of these bands have come out of nowhere this summer with two egregiously awesome debut EPs. We're proud to be following both of those up with a 7" wherein each band remixes the other. The resulting jams are dancefloor / bedroom-shenanigans ready. Bangers. Literally.

HEALTH continue their world takeover with Australian dates this winter, Europe in the Spring and a Six Flags visit for the GOLDEN TICKET WINNER in-between. THIS VIDEO should give you a taste.

And PICTUREPLANE's DARK RIFT was such a freak-folk-tonic that we decided to put it on 100% non-recylable vinyl!
